Korean stars paid their last respects as the funeral ceremony for 35-year-old comedian Park Ji-sun and her mother was held on Nov. 5.
Family and fellow comedians including Shin Bong-sun, Park Mi-sun, Park Sung-kwang and Heo Kyung-hwan attended the final ceremony at about 9 a.m. at Ewha Womans University Mokdong Hospital in Seoul. Park Ji-sun and her mother will be buried at Incheon Family Park.
Park Ji-sun died a day before her 36th birthday on Nov. 3. She and her mother were found dead at their home in Mapo-gu, Seoul at about 1:44 p.m. Korean time (12:44 p.m. in the Philippines) on Nov. 2. Her father called the police after he could not reach them by phone.
The two died of apparent suicide after the Seoul Mapo Police found a note left by the mother. Authorities no longer conducted an autopsy at the request of the family.
She was suffering from allergy to sunlight and makeup. According to the note left by her mother, she could not let her daughter suffer alone, Yonhap News previously reported.
"No foul play is suspected, as there was no sign of a break-in and what was presumed to be a suicide note was found," according to the Seoul Mapo Police.
