Filipina-Japanese Yuki Sonada wins second runner-up at Miss Universe Japan 2020

Filipina-JapaneseÂ Yuki Sonada could only be thankful she bagged the second runner-up position at the recently concludedÂ Miss Universe Japan 2020 tilt.Â

On Instagram, she thanked fans who supported her throughout her journey.

"Words cannot express how thankful I am with all your support, help, trust, patience and love. Without you guys I would not achieve this placement," she wrote.

Yuki also thanked people who gave her the chance to showcase her growth, as well as,Â Miss Universe Japan 2008 and National Director of Miss Universe Japan Hiroko Mima who inspired her to join the beauty pageant.

"You made me bloom into a new, much more empowered woman," she related.

Yuki, previously joined other beauty pageants in Japan including Miss World Japan 2015 and Miss Supranational Japan 2016.

The newly crown Miss Universe Japan 2020Â is Aisha Harumi Tochigi.

Yuki noted, how the latter, whom she described as one of her "best friends" in the pageant, "deserve" the crown.

"I know you will shine," she said.

Of course, she also cheered for all the other contestants, saying: "To all the girls, we are all queens!!! Congratulations, you were all beautiful and wonderful! I will truly cherish the memories we have had together. Each and everyone of you are special."
