COVID-19 recoveries in Davao region reach 4,000-mark

DAVAO CITY – The total number of recoveries from the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) reported in the Davao region has reached 4,082 after 91 recoveries were recorded on Tuesday, November 3.

Based on the COVID-19 Regional Case Bulletin for November 3, the Department of Health (DOH) Davao Center for Health Development (DCHD) recorded 91 recoveries, 137 new cases and two new deaths due to COVID-19.

The DOH said  that, “among these, 81 are from Davao City, seven are from Davao del Norte, two are from Davao del Sur and one (is) from Davao Oriental.”

Davao City has recorded a total of 2,751 recoveries, Davao del Norte has 427, Davao Oriental has 302, Davao del Sur has 275, Davao de Oro has 245 and Davao Occidental has 82.

The region currently has 1,531 active cases. Eighty-five of these new cases were from Davao City, 28 from Davao del Sur, 14 from Davao del Norte, eight from Davao de Oro, and two from Davao Oriental.

Two deaths in Davao City were also reported on Tuesday bringing the total number of fatalities to 208. The highest number of deaths was recorded in Davao City with 176. Davao del Sur has 13; Davao del Norte has 11; Davao de Oro and Davao Oriental have recorded three deaths each; while Davao Occidental has recorded two fatalities.

Davao region has recorded a total of 5,821 COVID-19 cases.
