Versatile sidelaner Benedict "Bennyqt" Gonzales is bound for Aura PH, according to Execration's coach and sixth man Billy "Z4pnu" Alfonso.
Z4pnu revealed on his stream Tuesday that Bennyqt opted to leave Execration and take his talent to Aura just a few hours after the team released a statement regarding the latter's departure.
"Wala nang Bennyqt sa Execration. Guys umalis na si Benny. Madaming nagtatanong kung bakit siya umalis. Siguro guys mag-a-Aura na siya. Aura PH na 'yung team niya ngayon," said Z4pnu.
The Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Pro League-Philippines (MPL-PH) veteran said they respect the decision of Bennyqt, who he said wants to have a change in role.
"Nag-usap na kami ni Benny guys. Okay lang 'yun. Normal lang 'yun sa pro scene. Kumbaga syempre desisyon niya rin naman 'yun, para rin sa kanya."
"Kaya kami pumayag kasi si Bennyqt gusto niya mag-funnel o kaya naman gusto niya mag-pos (position) 4. Eh pag nag-pos 4 naman siya ang mawawalan ng role si E2MAX (James Caidic)."
Z4pnu said that Bennyqt could possibly replace Ashley "Killuash" Cruz or Kiel Vj "Kielvj" Hernandez in Aura.
He added that they already have a replacement for Bennyqt but did not disclose his identity.
Joshua "Ch4knu" Mangilog, Jeff "S4gitnu" Subang, Jaylord "Hate" Gonzales and E2MAX will remain in Execration.
Bennyqt's departure came as a shock to Execration's legion of fans as the team finished third in the recently-concluded MPL-PH Season 6 after pulling off a reverse-sweep against Onic PH.
Bennyqt, who was acquired by Exe in Season 5, showed his versatility in Season 6 with masterful plays on Chou, Alice, Thamuz, Claude, Lunox and Wanwan.
Two-time champion Aura, which exited in the first round of playoffs in MPL-PH Season 6, has yet to announce if Bennyqt is indeed transferring to them.
