The agency assured that there will be no increase in fares of all public utility vehicles (PUVs) unless approved by the Board.
Drivers, operators, and passengers were also reminded to strictly observe minimum safety protocols, as well as the "seven commandments" of public health measures in transportation proposed by medical experts.
These include the wearing of face mask and face shield; no talking and taking phone calls; no eating; keeping PUVs well-ventilated; frequent disinfection of units; symptomatic passengers are not to be allowed inside public transport; and observing physical distancing.
The LTFRB warned that failure to comply with the guidelines will result in fines or cancellation or suspension of the Certificate of Public Convenience or Provisional Authority of the unit.
Meantime, the LTFRB likewise allowed nearly 4,000 more traditional jeepneys to resume its operations on 35 additional routes in the capital region.
The LTFRB said the additional routes that were opened on Nov. 2 will service at least 3,936 traditional PUJs across Metro Manila.
This brings the total number of authorized traditional PUJ units to 33,163 plying the 371 approved routes in the metropolis since the enforcement of GCQ in June.
