Jealous husband stabs wife to death for having a chat mate

PANGASINAN – A 25-year-old housewife was alleged brutally stabbed to death by her husband at their residence in Barangay Zone 6, Bayambang town after he suspected her of having a chat mate, Monday, November 2.

According to the Bayambang police, Geneva De Guzman sustained multiple stab wounds in the chest and back believed to have been inflicted by her husband Ronmel De Guzman, 32.

Probers said Ronmel was under the influence of liquor when the incident happened 9 p.m. on Monday.

The report added the suspect was having fits of jealousy after learning that his wife had a chat mate.

This reportedly enraged him into stabbing Geneva with a kitchen knife.

The victim was rushed to the Bayambang District Hospital in Bayambang town but was declared dead on-arrival.

Ronmel is now under the custody of Bayambang police.
