BUTUAN CITY - The number of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases in Caraga region continued to rise with 34 new infections. There were also four deaths logged, as of Monday, November 2.

Based on the COVID-19 Regional Case Bulletin released by the Department of Health-Center for Health and Development (DOH-CHD), 15 new cases were recorded in Butuan City, five each in Agusan del Sur and Tandag City, three each in Surigao City and Surigao del Sur, two in Surigao del Norte, and one in Dinagat Islands.
Northeastern Mindanao or Caraga region now has a total of 2,844 confirmed cases of COVID-19, with 628 active cases and 123 deaths.
The DOH-CHD on Saturday also reported that Caraga region has also recorded 2,093 recoveries.
According to the medical status of patients, the DOH-CHD said one had severe symptoms, 16 had mild symptoms, and 17 were asymptomatic.
Among the latest cases, 25 were local transmission cases, four with no history of travel to an area with known local transmission or exposure to COVID-19, and two with travel history from an area with local transmission.
Among those infected, 18 were female, with the youngest at two years old, and the oldest at 79-years-old.
