Qatar Airlines now operates 28 weekly flights in PH

Qatar Airways is now operating 28 weekly flights from the Philippines, making it one of the largest international carriers operating in the country.

In a statement, the Doha-based airline said they achieved 28 weekly flights in the Philippines since October 2 this year.

Throughout the pandemic, the Doha-based carrier is one of the very few airlines that remained in operation. Since March, Qatar Airways has safely and reliably repatriated over 50,000 people in and out of the Philippines. Overall, the airline has carried over two million passengers worldwide and has further established itself as one of the world’s most trusted airlines.

Rohan Seneviratne, Qatar Airways country manager, said “Qatar Airways has shown resilience and dedication to take people home throughout these difficult times. We are proud to be offering 28 weekly flights to our passengers and becoming one of the largest international airlines to offer such services from the Philippines. This enables us to further accumulate unrivalled experience of how to safely carry people home. Additionally, passengers from the Philippines also enjoy seamless connectivity through the Best Airport in the Middle East to destinations across Africa, Europe, the Middle East and Americas.”

The airline’s variety of fuel-efficient aircraft and strategic network management has enabled it to quickly increase frequencies and resume services in line with passenger demand, providing more flexible travel options to passengers in the Philippines. Qatar operates 14 weekly flights in Manila, 14 in Cebu, and 7 in Clark.

 With the airline’s network never falling below 30 destinations since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, the airline has resumed services to many more global destinations including Hanoi, Lagos and London.

Qatar Airways is also extending its offering for flexible booking options for all tickets issued before 31 December 2020. The airline’s latest re-booking options will provide passengers an unrivalled peace of mind. Operating over 650 weekly flights to more than 90 destinations, Qatar Airways provides more flexible travel options to more global destinations than any other airline.
