Jeff Napa is the new coach of the National University men’s basketball team, the school announced Friday night.
“Bulldogs head coach search is over! NU names alumnus Jeff Napa as the new head tactician of the men’s basketball team,” the school posted on its Twitter account.
Napa will take the reins of Goldwyn Monteverde, who resigned a few months back.
Prior to his latest post, Napa was named coach of the Centro Escolar University Scorpions last January.
A few days ago, Napa’s long-time assistant Chico Manabat took over the Scorpions’ coaching job upon his recommendation to the school bosses.
Napa previously handled NU’s juniors team from 2011 to 2016, steering the Bullpups to three titles.
He also coached the Letran Knights in the NCAA.
