Eudora the new meta? Pheww records first season savage as Bren beats Cignal

Kyle Angelo "Pheww" Arcangel delivered an electrifying performance on Eudora as Bren Esports downed Cignal Ultra, 2-1, to sustain its winning ways heading into the playoffs of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Pro League-Philippines (MPL-PH) Season 6 on Friday night.

Pulling out a trick out of his sleeve in the deciding game, captain Pheww took charge with his Eudora, one of the revamped heroes in the latest Project NEXT patch, and tallied the first savage of the season.

Bren, which already locked up the top seed in Group B, improved to 32 points.

CJ "Ribo" Ribo, who starred in the series opener, said that the squad in black and gold is already looking forward to taking on crowd favorite Nexplay Solid in the playoffs.

"Siguro ano 'yon, 3-0. Durog na durog," said Ribo in the post-match interview. "'Di na namin pagbibigyan."

Ribo's unorthodox pick of Karrie paid off as he turned the tides of a seesaw battle in Game 1, spearheading a 4-for-1 exchange on the river area in the 14th minute and allowing Bren to seal a 24-14 win.

Cignal brought out Jaymark Aaron "Hadess" Lazaro's Harith paired with Benson "Bensanity" Paglinawan's Khufra and DJ "ImbaDeejay" Astibe's Valir to take a dominant 13-4 victory in just nine minutes and force a 1-1 deadlock.

But Pheww was on another level in Game 3 as he completed a savage to power Bren to a 30-7 stomp in 11 minutes.

Pheww dealt over 64,000 burst damage to finish with nine kills and six assists against a lone death.

With the loss, Cignal settled for the fourth seed with 11 points and is set to face the top team in Group A.
