Korina Sanchez-Roxas resumes free slippers for the poor project

Popular Kapamilya broadcaster Korina Sanchez-Roxas turns a year older today, October 5, as she resumes her project of giving free new slippers for the poor.

"Sweet reunion. Akala ko magtatagal pa masyado bago ako makabalik sa pamimigay ng tsinelas. Ahahahaha, yessss! Am back! Here in impoverished TUP Compound in Taguig we gave away our brand new slippers to 150 kids and, shempre, pabertdey sa mga pamilya dito. Groceries, care kits with Stay Safe Face Shields and my K Magic Happy Hair Shampoo and Conditioner with Facial Wash pa for the nanays. Merienda is palabok and barbecue plus cupcakes for everyone from Fernando’s. Always so supportive! So happy to again make people happy. This is now our New Normal in our regular nationwide Tsinelas Campaign. House to house na kame! Giving back on your birthday in the #BestLife" said Korina on Instagram.

Korina, 56, also received a surprise birthday greeting from her "Rated Korina" team. "And some of the best celebrations are those you don't expect. Surprise kumbaga. Thank you Rated Korina Team! So appreciate it….Kaya natin itoh."

But the greatest gift Korina received on her birthday would be a surprise visit from her children Pepe and Pilar and husband former Senator Mar Roxas who all went to the set of her taping just to greet her.

"Pero ito ang DA BEST. My kids visited and did a surprise visit to me in their covid-free bubble driven by husband to just give me their birthday greetings awwwwwww……. soooooo happpyyyyyy! Naunahan nila ako kasi I was about to visit them at home through the glass doors. They understand Mama has to work. But I see them more often now. So touched, so happy. Love you, Pepe en Pilar," Korina posted on IG.

Unconfirmed reports said that Korina's show will now be shown on TV5 soon.
