PANGASINAN – The San Fabian municipal police station is on lockdown after a detainee was found positive for the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

P/Capt. Hermilita Guitiring said the infected detainee was discovered after he and six others were subjected to swab tests on October 25 at the Bureau of Jail and Management Penology (BJMP) as part of health protocols.
The results came out October 28, and showed that the detainee, who is facing charges for violation of the Violation Against Women and Children (VAWC) Act, was positive for the coronavirus.
This prompted the lockdown of the San Fabian police station where 11 police personnel were also tested after they had contact with the infected detainee.
It was not known where the detainee got infected with COVID-19.
