Wesley So-led Saint Louis Arch Bishops take PRO Chess title; Armenia Eagles disqualified

The Saint Louis Arch Bishops team of Grandmaster Wesley So was declared the winner of the 2020 PRO Chess League after the organizers disqualified the Armenia Eagles due to fair play violations.

After a probe, organizer Chess.com’s Fair Play team determined that Tigran Petrosian violated regulations during games in both the semifinal and final matches that took place last week.

Chess.com and the PRO Chess League have banned Petrosian for life and his team from an indefinite period.

The 2020 crown thus went to So and the Arch Bishops while the Canada Chessbrahs and China Pandas moved up to joint second
