PANGASINAN – The province posted 36 new cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19), as of Friday night, and was also able to record three coronavirus-related fatalities.
This was disclosed by the Provincial Health Office (PHO), which reported that the latest fatalities were a 36-year-old male from Sta. Barbara, a 53-year-old male from Binmaley, and 66-year-old female from Labrador.
That brought the total number of fatalities in the province due to COVID-19 to 37.
PHO also reported that there were already 1,006 COVID-19 cases in the province, with Dagupan City accounting for 222 of those cases.
It also said that 600 have already recovered from the viral disease, 369 were still confined.
Meanwhile, PHO also reported that 83 percent or equivalent of 40 local government units (LGUs) or municipalities in Pangasinan still have active COVID-19 cases.
Of the 40 LGUs, 18 continued to be on the PHO watchlist due to the high number of cases being recorded in these areas.
These LGUs were Malasiqui, Dagupan City, Mangaldan, Calasiao, Bolinao, Lingayen, Urdaneta City, Sta. Barbara, Bugallon, Binmaley, Manaoag, San Fabian, Sison, Sual, Batutista, Mapandan, Balungao and San Carlos City.
