Iyaknu leads Onic PH past Omega; Blacklist obliterates Blu Fire

Onic Philippines returned to its true form after pulling off a surgical 2-0 sweep of Smart Omega in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Pro League-Philippines (MPL-PH) Season 6 on Saturday night. 

Onic PH showed its patience in the neck-and-neck series opener beforeleaning on Joshwell Christian "Iy4knu" Manaog in the second game as the two-time runner-up bounced back from a loss to Execration last week. 

The Johnmar "OhMyV33NUS" Villaluna-led crew improved to 18 points at No. 3 in Group B, behind Omega which has 22 markers. Both teams have already secured their seats in the playoffs. 

The two powerhouse teams were locked in a back-and-forth battle in Game 1 until Onic grabbed crucial pickoffs on Jeniel "Haze" Bata-anon's Kagura and Adrian "Toshi" Caballo's Ruby behind the Feathered Airstrike of OhMyV33NUS' Pharsa in the 18th minute. 

Onic converted that huge team fight triumph into an enhanced Lord kill to seal the 15-13 win in 20 minutes. 

 Iy4knu then came through with a breakout game on a jungler Helcurt in Game 2, carrying Onic to a 13-5 victory in 15 minutes. 

Loaded with Blade of Despair, Berserker's Fury and Endless Battle, Iy4knu registered a perfect record of seven kills and four assists against zero deaths. 

Earlier, Blacklist International made quick work of also-ran Blu Fire, 2-0, to jump back to the second spot in Group A with 20 points. 

Mark Jayson "ESON" Gerardo's Jawhead rotated smoothly around the map in Game 1, setting up the snowball prowess of Edward Jay "EDWARD" Dapadap's Chang'e and Kairi "FULL CLIP" Rayosdelsol's Roger en route to a dominant 17-2 win in 12 minutes in Game 1. 

Blu Fire showed some fight in Game 2, but Blacklist's objective-based tactic allowed them to take a 12-6 victory in just 11 minutes.
