San Juan Mayor Francis Zamora said on Wednesday that he supports the decision of President Duterte in extending the general community quarantine (GCQ) status in Metro Manila from November 1 to 30.

Zamora said that under the GCQ, the country is seeing a steady decline in the number of active cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
He said San Juan recorded a total of 89 active cases and 2913 recoveries since October 27.
Zamora said retaining the GCQ status will help further curb the spread of COVID-19 and help invigorate the economy.
He appealed to residents to be vigilant in their fight against COVID-19 by following all prescribed health and safety protocols.
“Let's continue to bring down the number of active cases in San Juan, Metro Manila, and the entire Philippines, even as we revive our economy,” Zamora said.
