United City star Stephan Schrock is out to give the Azkals Development Team a lesson when the Philippines Football League finally starts its season Wednesday afternoon at the PFF National Training Center in Carmona, Cavite.

While he has nothing but fondness to the ADT players who were his teammates during last year’s Southeast Asian Games, Schrock vowed to turn the match set at 4:30 p.m. as a teaching tool.

“We will face each other for the season opener in the (PFL). Amazing how they responded and learned in the past few months. Always very close to my heart the kids of (ADT),” Schrock said on an Instagram post Tuesday night.

“However, tomorrow, no online class — but still school (though),” he added.

Schrock later poked fun at ADT’s Jarvey Gayoso and Yrick Gallantes during the PFL-produced episode of “Inside the Bubble,” saying: “They do know well what will happen. They do know..”

The two ADT players could only laugh at Schrock’s warning, though the Gallantes responded when asked if he’s scared.

“No,” Gallantes said, prompting more laughter from everyone who was part of the show.

Schrock reinforced the national U-22 team as one of two overaged players during last year’s SEA Games.

Led by Schrock, the Young Azkals pulled off one of the competition’s biggest upsets with a 1-0 win over Malaysia in the group stage.

But the Young Azkals fell short of reaching the semifinals despite drawing level with Cambodia at seven points apiece due to an inferior goal difference.

United City, under a new name following a transfer of ownership from Ceres-Negros, is favored to win the PFL opener, with Schrock, Bienvenido Maranon and Robert Lopez Mendy expected to lead the way.
