VP denies fake post about her

Vice President Leni Robredo on Tuesday alerted the public about a false post attributed to her on social media.

Robredo posted online a screenshot of the fake quote which she denied saying, which reads as follows: “Ang Pilipinas ay nababalot sa kadiliman, ibalik natin ang dating sigla ng bawat mamamayan. I’m ready to become a president of the Philippines.”

(The Philippines is wrapped in darkness, let’s bring back the energy of every citizen. I’m ready to become a president of the Philippines.)

This quote circulated on social media with Robredo’s photo.

The vice president said it was not true the quote came from her.

”Mariing pinabubulaanan ng ating Tanggapan ang kumakalat na fake quote na ito,” she said in Facebook post.

“Hindi rin matukoy ng fake news post kung saan at kailan ito nabanggit,” Robredo added.

The lady official reminded the public to be critical of what they see on social
media and report those who spread fake news, especially in this time of pandemic.
