Suzuki Motorcycle Philippines adds some excitement into the motorcycle scene with the introduction of two new motorcycles, the Gixxer 250 and Gixxer 250 SF.
First unveiled to the world at the 2019 Tokyo Motor Show, the Gixxer 250 series was intended to offer excitement, paired with fuel efficiency and reliability.
Both models are built on a high rigidity frame, to serve as a reliable base for both models. Moving them forward is an air and oil-cooled, 249cc single-piston Suzuki Eco Performance (SEP) engine with a single overhead cam (SOHC). It produces 26.5 PS of power at 9,000 rpm and 22.6 Nm of torque at 7,500 rpm. It’s fitted with Suzuki's Oil Cooling System (SOCS), which uses an oil cooler fan and oil-cooling radiator to keep the engine at the optimum operating temperature. They’re capable of achieving average fuel consumption of 38.5 km/L.
The bikes are wrapped in a choice of naked or fully-faired body styles, both of which were designed to convey a tough, edgy, and agile image. They’re paired with LED headlights and taillights, rounded off with a dual exhaust muffler. Riders will have a split seat to offer comfort and stability to both rider and pillion.
They also come with a 7-step adjustable rear suspension system, disc brakes on both wheels, and dual-channel ABS.
Vital trip info will be displayed on its fully-digital instrument panel which integrates a digital speed read-out, gear indicator, and dual trip meters.
The Gixxer 250 (naked) comes in Metallic Matte Black, priced at PhP165,000. The fully-faired Gixxer 250SF will come in a special Triton Blue and Silver (Suzuki Team Ecstar) livery, priced at PhP175,000.
Both models will be arriving at authorized Suzuki dealers and showrooms in December 2020.
