Parañaque city proud of Ysabella Ysmael, Ms. Universe 2020 1st runner-up

Paranaque City Mayor Edwin Olivarez is very proud of Ysabella Ysmael who placed 1^st runner- up in the Ms. Universe Philippines 2020 held in Baguio City Sunday, October 25.

Olivarez said the 23-year-old Ysmael who comes from a family of beauty queens gave pride to the city.

Ysmael is a niece of Miss Universe 1973 Margie Moran and the granddaughter of actress Marita Zobel.

Ysmael won best in evening gown during the preliminaries of the pageant for the feathery serpentina gown creation of Dubai-based international designer Furne One Amato of Amato Couture.

There were 44 candidates who competed for the Ms. Universe Philippines crown.

Based on the Facebook page of Ysmael, dancing ballet became her tool for self- expression and stress-relief. She said she was dancing since she was four.

Ysmael earned her Psychology degree from De La Salle University-Manila.
