Style that is iconic
After a providing the public with a sneak peek of its upcoming crossover, Kia Philippines finally unveils its latest model, the Stonic crossover. Aimed at fun-loving, goal-driven, young trendsetters, the Stonic lives up to modern-day demands, particularly young, active, and adventurous buyers with its design and aesthetics.
Award-winning design
The Stonic crossover is built on a compact footprint, featuring sharp lines blended with Kia’s trademark Tiger Nose Grille. envisioned by Kia Chief Designer, Peter Schreyer, the result is an unmistakably European design language that has already earned recognition from globally-renowned iF Design and Red Dot Awards.
Power and space
Propelling the Stonic is a 1.4-liter dual CVVT engine that is mated to either a five-speed manual or a six-speed automatic transmission. It returns 95 PS (five-speed MT) and 100 PS (six-speed AT), respectively.
Despite its size, the Stonic is designed to offer mounds of space and versatility thanks to its clever interior engineering. It can transport more than 325 liters of cargo when the seats are upright, giving owners more freedom to bring what they need for work or leisure purposes. There’s even more cargo space when the rear seats are folded flat.
Entertainment System
Whether on short or long trips, the new Stonic makes every trip enjoyable with its eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system compatible with both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. This multimedia player delivers tunes through its six audio speakers that are packaged as standard for all variants.
Safety and convenience
Just like all other Kia offerings, the new Stonic also puts safety in top priority. The projector headlamp design plus the LED Daytime Running Lights (for the EX, front fog lamps for the LX) provide ample illumination for the driver.
Aside from the dual front airbags, three-point seat belts with pretensioners, and anti-brake lock system, a rear camera with Dynamic Guidelines, ISOFIX child anchors, and child locks come as standard.
For more peace of mind, the new Stonic has driver-assistive features such as the Parking Distance Warning, Electronic Stability Control (ESC) and Hill Start Assist (all exclusive in the EX variant). In addition, smart keyless entry and an illuminated push start button are also fitted inside the EX variant.
The digital unveiling was spearheaded by AC Industrials executives, AC Industrials Chairman and CEO Arthur Tan; AC Motors automotive group President, Antonio “Toti” Zara III; and Kia Philippines President, Manny Aligada.
Tan expressed his firm confidence on the new Stonic, claiming that it will be a frontrunner for Kia in its bid to be one of the key players in the industry.
Meanwhile, Aligada said that their latest model is designed to set a new trend in the local automotive arena.
“For over 70 years, Kia has been innovating the way we design vehicles. Today, we are proud to launch the Kia Stonic—which has Style that’s Iconic,” he said. “With a vehicle like this, we hope to be a driving force for you, the Filipino youth, who are on your way to where you want to go.”

The new Stonic is available in five iconic hues to match its looks: Prime Red, Clear White (for the LX), Extreme Blue (offered in all three variants) and the two-tone Black/Flame Orange, Black/Flash Yellow and Black/Clear White (exclusive for the top variant EX).

In tune with customers’ concerns over face-to-face transactions, Zara, during his speech, expressed his full support to the brand and its network of 38 dealers, which would push for digitization, innovation and customer-centric initiatives.
“We will continue to bring new digital tools to our dealerships to improve, not only our operational efficiency, but also to enhance the customer’s experience,” Zara explained.
