Heartbreaks have faded and Onic Philippines is ready to move forward as it dethroned its longtime rival Aura Philippines after a dominant 3-0 sweep in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Pro League-Philippines (MPL-PH) Season 6 Friday night.

Flaunting its fluid team play in three games, Onic finally avenged its grand finals setbacks to Aura in the last two seasons.

Onic will take on the victor of the last quarterfinal battle featuring social media rivals Bren Esports and Nexplay Solid later.

The squad in gold and white secured at least the fourth-placer's prize of $3,000 (P145,000).

Aura, formerly known as Sunsparks, got $1,500 (P72,800), same with Cignal Ultra and Blacklist International for finishing in the 5th-8th places.

Danerie James "Wise" Del Rosario's signature Yi Sun-shin and Gerald "Dlar" Trinchera's Khaleed starred for Onic in the series opener.

Wise went to rack up four kills and seven assists while Dlar tallied five kills and eight assists to lead Onic to a 15-8 win in just 12 minutes.

It was the queen's turn in Game 2 as Johnmar "OhMyV33NUS" Villaluna's Pharsa dished out over 67k magic burst damage to fuel Onic's 21-9 rout in nearly 15 minutes.

With Lightning Truncheon, Holy Crystal and Clock of Destiny, V33NUS finished with 15 assists to go with four kills against a lone death.

Unlike its Season 4 disaster, Onic did not waste the opportunity to finish off Aura this time, banking on the dual tank setup of Jason "Jay" Torculas' Hilda and Joshwell "Iy4knu" Manaog's Baxia.

Jay chalked nine assists on top of a kill and tanked over 67k damage while Iy4knu also registered nine assists against two deaths and absorbed more than 97k damage.
