2 teachers nabbed in separate buy-bust operations in Negros Occidental


BACOLOD CITY –  A teacher at a public school, and another from the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) were arrested in separate anti-illegal drugs operations in two cities in Negros Occidental on Wednesday, October 21.

Stephen Arricivita, 40, a public school teacher, was apprehended in Barangay Caradio-an, Himamaylan City with 11 sachets of suspected shabu weighing 5.6 grams, and valued at P95,000/

He was tagged by the police as a high-value individual.

In Talisay City, TESDA teacher John Paul Insular, 39, was nabbed in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Zone 2.

He was arrested together with his cohort Joenefer Juson, 26.

Police seized from them 22 sachets of suspected shabu weighing five grams, and valued at P34,000.

Drug charges were being readied against the three suspects.
