Megawide wins 3 house building jobs

Engineering and infrastructure conglomerate Megawide Construction Corporation, through its Precast Unit, has bagged three new contracts with Century Properties’ PHirst Park Homes, Inc. (PPHI).

In a statement, Megawide said the contracts are for the construction of over 4,700 row housing units in San Pablo and Calamba, Laguna, and Pandi, Bulacan. 

The units will be developed using Megawide’s proprietary Precast system – an engineering innovation that eliminates the use of traditional building processes and materials.

The technology allows for better interior flexibility with additional space and offers greater value and satisfaction to homeowners. 

Megawide Precast continues to supply and install precast units to almost 4,700 PHirst Park Homes in Tanza, Cavite and Lipa, Batangas.

With these new contracts, Megawide aims to help build more than 9,400 housing units in these five locations starting this September.

“Utilizing Precast for our partnership with PHirst Park raises the bar on residential development. Megawide Precast delivers higher standardization and stability compared with conventional construction methodology and traditional concrete. It is highly customizable to the structural specification of clients and reduces construction timelines,” said Megawide Executive Vice President for Business Units Markus Hennig. 

PPHI President Ricky Celis said that, “At PHirst Park, we guarantee quality yet affordable housing to first-time homeowners and families in safe and secured environments. Megawide has been our partner since 2018 and we look forward to more homes engineered with innovation because it adds value to what we both continue to uphold.”

Megawide said “PHirst Park’s advocacy for sustainable housing and community developments, coupled with Megawide’s vision, will bring First-World products to more aspiring and deserving households in fast growing urbanized areas around Metro Manila.”

It added that, “This will also complement the Company’s foray into the horizontal infrastructure space and support its precast capacity expansion plans outside the nation’s capital.”
