Security Bank, RCBC continue to waive instapay, pesonet fees

Security Bank announced that it will continue to offer free InstaPay and PESONet for free until December 31, 2020 as part of its efforts to support the lockdown measures and keep clients safe at home.

“We encourage everyone to remain safe during this pandemic by staying at home and conducting their banking needs through Security Bank Online and through our Security Bank Mobile App and take full advantage of the waived fund transfer fees,” said Security Bank Executive Vice President and Head of Transaction Banking Group John Ong.

He added that, “Transactions using Security Bank Online have seen a steady growth month-on-month since March when the Enhanced Community Quarantine was imposed in various parts of the country. Majority of the transactions come from fund transfer and bills payment services.”

With digital platforms being the go-to channels since the start of the pandemic, Security Bank saw an impressive 312 percent increase in fund transfer transactions with its remittance service EGiveCash and InstaPay at the frontlines.

Security Bank encourages clients who have yet to sign up for Security Bank online to fully utilize the online banking facility wherein users can easily manage their accounts, conduct fund transfers, pay bills and reload prepaid mobile numbers.

Meanwhile, in response to the continuing call for relief measures during these extraordinary times, Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation said it will continue to waive fund transfer fees through Peso Net and InstaPay until December 31, 2020.

“We encourage everyone to continue banking from home using RCBC online banking for your banking transactions for your safety,” RCBC said.
