WATCH: Dimples Romana, husband surprise longtime helper with brand new house

Actress Dimples Romana and husband Boyet Ahmee recently bought their household help of 17 years a house.

According to Dimples, they simply want to reciprocate the love and care she has given them through the years.

They also want their kids to learn the value of gratitude and that "giving and sharing must always begin at home."

"Masaya kami kahit papaano nabalik na namin sa kanya lahat ng pagmamahal na binigay niya sa amin all these years," said Dimples.

According to Dimples, Ate V is a huge part of their family.

"She's really like parang kapatid. Sa totoo lang, siya talaga ang nanay ng bahay namin kasi most of the time I'm not there," the 35-year-old actress explained.

"I really value her opinion. 'Pag sinabi niyang 'Dimps alam mo 'di makakabuti sa atin 'yan or 'di maganda 'yan,' hindi ko talaga bibilhin," she added. 

Ate V was surprised with the gift.

She said, teary-eyed, "Akala ko papa-rent-ahan ito, bakit sa akin pala ito?"

"Bakit ako? Dimps ano 'yan? Jusko po, maraming maraming salamat po. Wala... nagulat lang ako... totoo ba 'yan? Para sa akin ba 'yan? Akala ko papa-upahan ito, ako pala ang uupa? Sobrang saya ko."

In the description box of the video, Dimples penned a heartwarming message for their longtime helper.

"Sa buhay natin, meron tayong mga kapamilya na maaring hindi natin kadugo na inaalagaan tayo, may malasakit sa atin, minamahal tayo ng higit pa sa mga pamilya nila.

"Si Ate V namin is one of our biggest blessings in life. Itinuring na niya kaming pamilya at pamilya na din namin sya. Kasama namin siya sa kalungkutan, kaguluhan, sa pagpupursigi at sa tagumpay.

"She has been with us for 17 years, opo, kasing haba na din ng taon ng pag aasawa namin ni Papa Boyet at ng pamilya namin. Kasama na namin sya nung nagsisimula pa lang kami. Puro dasal at pangarap pa lang kami nun. Nagsisimula pa lang mag ipon."

"May mga buwan na late namin syang nababayaran ng sweldo dahil abot abot ang mga gastusin namin. I would always ask her and tell her pwede na nya kaming iwan dahil nahihirapan na kami to give her her salary, and yet through thick and thin, hirap at ginhawa, sa meron at wala, hindi nya kami iniwan.

"Hindi namin maabot ang mga pangarap namin, kung walang "Ate V" kaming kaagapay sa araw araw na pamumuhay."
