June Mar Fajardo may not be physically present in San Miguel Beer’s campaign inside the PBA bubble, but he is there in spirit… or virtually.
The reigning six-time Most Valuable Player was spotted as part of the virtual crowd during the Beermen’s 105-98 victory over the Terrafirma Dyip Monday night at the Angeles University Foundation Sports and Cultural Center.

Still on the road to recovery after injuring his shin during practice last February, Fajardo watched as SMB finally won after starting the bubble with losses to Rain or Shine and current leader TNT.
Fajardo perhaps liked what he saw, especially with Mo Tautuaa doing his role in the paint quite well with 25 points as SMB improved to 2-2 in the Philippine Cup.
While not part of the bubble, Fajardo has kept himself busy by doing shooting drills at SMB’s practice facility inside Acropolis Village.
Being at this stage of his recovery is a good sign for Fajardo as he hopes to see his teammates continue SMB’s dominance in the Philippine Cup.
For now, Fajardo will have to play the role as SMB’s biggest cheerleader.
