Red Hot Chili Peppers' 'Flea' celebrates 58th birthday

The iconic group Red Hot Chili Peppers greeted Michael "Flea" Balzary, bassist, trumpet player and back-up vocals for the band.

A photo on Instagram showed Flea performing with the caption taken from their hit song "Pea,"a track from their sixth studio album "One Hot Minute" that was released in 1995.

Red Hot Chili Peppers is an American rock band that cemented their legacy in the music industry, partaking on numerous tracks from alternative rock, funk, punk rock and psychedelic rock, their band consists of lead vocalist Anthony Kiedis, ‘Flea’ Chad Smith and guitarist John Frusciante.

Based on the Billboard Alternative Songs chart, the group holds the record for the most number one singles (13) most cumulative weeks at number one (85) and the most top ten songs (25) in addition to the six Grammy awards and their 2012 induction in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
