Family of 5 in General Santos City tests positive for COVID 19

GENERAL SANTOS CITY- At least five members of a family, including a five-year-old girl and a nine-year-old boy, were among the newest positive cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in the city.

The local Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) against COVID-19 reported that the family members who tested positive for COVID-19 were among the 15 new confirmed cases in the city.

The new COVID-19 cases brought the total number of infections in the city to 550, with 22 fatalities.

Barangay Dadiangas South Rock Garay, barangay said health authorities have ordered the lockdown of the residence of the COVID-19 afflicted family on Waling-Waling St. in his barangay while contact-tracing was being conducted to on those they had contact with.

He said the patients got infected with the virus after they were exposed to a family member who also tested positive for COVID-19.
