Eighteen-year-old Eunice Dimal Adeza was done for the day’s work and was on her way to ride the company’s shuttle going home in Olivares, Biñan, when she came across an old man. “Our driver didn’t allow him to ride because we had a passenger limit,” she shares in her Facebook post. Thinking the old man didn’t have enough money, she handed him a good amount to get him home, but he declined and said that he had enough stored in what looked like a local version of a guitar.
Eunice also told Manila Bulletin Lifestyle, “He didn’t look like he was a peddler, because he didn’t accept the money I was going to give him. He just looked like a peddler since he had with him a lot of items such as the guitar and folded fabrics.” She also shared that the old man just wanted to get home to Quezon province.
She decided to share the experience on her Facebook post, taking a chance that someone might read it and bump into the old man again. “I don’t have my own car to take him home, but he is in Biñan. I hope someone can help him.”
