A reunion movie of two veteran and multi-awarded actresses happens in "ECQ Diary (Bawal Lumabas)," written, produced and directed by Arlyn Dela Cruz-Bernal.

Elizabeth Oropesa and Daria Ramirez share stellar roles in the movie about the pandemic and the imposed quarantine and restrictions especially on senior citizens.

The two first acted together in Ishmael Bernal's Nunal sa Tubig in the '70s. Under Jessie Ejercito's Crown Seven, they starred in multiple projects, played sisters in Gil Portes' Moonlight in Baler a few years back but as Susan and Amalia, this is the first time after decades that the two shared top leads.

"I never imagined myself being in the lead again, I am grateful the production remembered me, they told me, nobody else was considered for the role of Amalia. At maganda sa lahat ay may tiwala sa kakayanan ko ang produksiyon. Lead at my age, hindi ko akalaing mangyayari ito," Ramirez said.

"I have complete faith, trust and respect in Dang's prowess as an actress, and of course, I love her so when Direk Arlyn and I were talking about the role of Amalia, she was the only one in my mind. Direk Arlyn shares the same vision. Dang is Amalia. We thought of no one else," Oropesa said.

Oropesa is the movie's Executive Producer. La Oro as she is known in the industry strongly believes that a movie about this year's pandemic must be made.

It is a reunion but in real life, the two are in constant contact. La Oro added: "I cannot really call it a reunion because we are always connected. In real life and in the movies. The only difference is, in this movie, we are once again in the same category. I love working with her. She is a good actress and a good friend. We are older now but everything is basically still the same. Except we are fatter. Blame it on the quarantine."

The movie was submitted for consideration in an upcoming festival.
