GenSan City Council building under lockdown after one councilor tests positive for COVID-19
GENERAL SANTOS CITY- The local legislative building here was placed under lockdown after one city councillor tested positive for the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

Local health authorities ordered on Tuesday the lockdown of the City Council building as contact tracing and disinfection of the area were being conducted.
The City Council suspended its regular session on Tuesday after the news broke out that City Councilor Jose Orlando Acharon tested positive for COVID-19.
Acharon, who was asymptomatic, was confined at a local private hospital here.
The city councilor was not exposed to anyone who was COVID-19 positive.
Local health personnel had conducted contact tracing on people, including Acharon's colleagues at the City Council who had close contact with him.
The local Inter-Agency Task Force against COVID-19 had placed the city under the stricter General Community Quarantine amid the increasing COVID-19 cases which had reached 552 with 21 fatalities.
