A group of activists on Wednesday gathered in front of the Commission on Human Rights in Quezon City to denounce the decision of a Manila court shortening the furlough granted to detained activist-mom Reina Mae Nasino.

Amid a downpour, members of Anakbayan, Alliance of Concerned Teachers, Salinlahi, Kabataan, Children Rehabilitation Center, among others, raised their fists and placards during a program to seek justice for Nasino's three-month-old daughter, River.
The group also pressed for Nasino’s release and denounced the shortened furlough granted by the court after Manila City Jail warden Jail Chief Inspector Ignacia Monteron asked the court to reduce the furlough period due to lack of personnel.
From three days, the court instead granted Nacino six hours from 1 to 4 p.m. on Wednesday and Friday to visit the wake and attend the burial of her infant daughter who died on October 9 of respiratory failure.
