The latest viral Tiktok dance video is from LTO Region 3

The Land Transportation Office is getting in on the Tiktok dance craze. And while many join the social media site for a few minutes of fame, the LTO, specifically its Region 3 office, has done so to inform the public of various penalties they may incur for violating traffic laws.

In the recent viral video, the LTO has made an informative dance number to the tune of Filipino song, “Kabet (It really hurts)” by the group Gagong Rapper.

While the song itself is about infidelity, the LTO uses its catchy refrain to refer to the pain of paying the hefty fine, even modifying a few words of the song to reflect this.

The video was shared by Department of Transportation (DOTr) assistant secretary, Goddes Hope Libiran.

“May pandemic o wala, kailangan may disciplina. Kung ayaw mong magmulta, Magpakatino ka sa kalsada. (Whether there's a pandemic or not, you must be disciplined. Drive responsibly if you don’t want to pay the fines.),” said Libiran.

The video shows LTO personnel dancing to the song, with captions showing the penalties and fines the agency imposes per violation.

Among the offenses highlighted are Driving an unregistered vehicle, Driving without a License, Reckless Driving, and a few others. The captions also show the various fines depending on the number of offenses.

Will we se more of these from LTO Region 3? Only time will tell. Yet if the popularity of the video is anything to go by, there could be more to come.
