In case you haven't heard, GOMO is a contract-less, 'digital telco,' meaning all you need to do is purchase their SIM card and you can use 25GB for only P199. But according to the GOMO website, this is promo that will run until January 2021, where prices will change to P299.
This 25GB data has no expiry, which makes it quite appealing if you want to have full control in how you use your data. It sounds like GOMO is an interesting backup choice for online learners and work-from-home setups, if your main network is experiencing some hiccups.
The GOMO website also offers a P499 SIM card, which includes 100 minutes (for calls) and 500 text messages.
You don't have to buy load for a GOMO SIM card. You can purchase data directly from the GOMO website or the GOMO PH app. You can use credit/debit card or GCash.
One of their features is 'Mo Credits. This allows you to convert data for calls and texts. As an example, GOMO listed as using 200MB data to convert into 30 texts or into a three-minute call. You can do this if the person you're trying to contact isn't available in your Messenger or Viber.
There are no fees during this convertion. But there is no reversal, so once you've converted your data to calls, you can't re-convert them again into data.
To activate the service, you'll need to download the GOMO app, which is available in iOS, Android, and Huawei's AppGallery. The app will provide you how many data you have left and a place where you can buy more data.
Right now, both Shopee and Lazada have ran out of stocks for GOMO Sim cards. So keep your eyes open if you want to use those platforms. You can also order directly from their website.
According to GOMO, for Metro Manila, delivery takes three to five days. Cebu and Davao will take five to seven days. Provincial will take five to 12 days. The GOMO website said delivery times may take longer due to the surge in orders.
