34 more overseas Filipinos recover from COVID-19


The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) on Tuesday recorded eight new fatalities and 34 new recoveries among overseas Filipinos due to COVID-19 (coronavirus disease).

Citing reports it received from the different foreign service posts in Asia and the Pacific, Europe, and the Middle East, the DFA also recorded 26 new confirmed COVID-19 cases among Filipinos in those regions.

To date, the Middle East remains the region with the most number of confirmed COVID-19 cases, recoveries, under treatment, and fatalities among our nationals.

The Americas has the least numbers in all category compared to other geographic regions, except in the total number of deaths, wherein Asia and the pacific ranks lowest.

As of October 13, 2020, the total number of COVID-19 cases involving overseas Filipinos is 11,108. From this total, 3,128 are undergoing treatment, 7,170 have recovered, and 810 died of the disease.
