Onic PH zaps Cignal Ultra

Onic Philippines flexed its muscle ahead of its anticipated match versus rival Aura Philippines as it clobbered Cignal Ultra, 2-0, in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Pro League-Philippines (MPL-PH) on Saturday night.

Behind its hyper-carry Danerie James "Wise" Del Rosario, Onic PH made short work of Cignal to show its scary form going into its regular season-ending clash against two-time champion Aura tonight at 7:30 p.m.

"'Di na bago 'yung Onic PH vs Aura. So, ang masasabi ko lang is the world is round. 'Di laging panalo. Kita nyo naman sa past matches namin so maghanda na kayo," said captain Johnmar "OhMyV33NUS" Villaluna.

Onic also locked up the third seed in Group B with 21 points, leaving Cignal behind at the fourth place with 12 points.

Onic's snowball began to roll in the fifth minute of Game 1 when Johswell Christian "Iy4knu" Manaog outplayed four Cignal players at the top lane, leading to a double kill for Wise's Roger.

Heavily farmed and armed with his core items, Wise went for a manic then a Lord kill in the 10th minute to power Onic to a 15-5 demolition in just 13 minutes.

Wise had a flawless mark of nine kills and two assists as he unleashed over 48,000 damage.

It was the same story in Game 2 as Onic built a 16-8 lead and a 9,000 gold advantage in the 11th minute with Wise's signature Yi Sun-shin leading the charge.

Onic put the final nail in Cignal's coffin with a Lord take in the 17th minute for an 18-11 win.

Wise dished out a whopping 141k damage on heroes and 20k damage on turrets as he finished with an 11-1-5 K-D-A tally.Â

The regular season ends today with a quadruple-header capped by the titanic Onic-Aura clash. The seedings in Group A are also set to be determined at the end of the match day.
