"This is the fifth establishment that we operated in Makati. We are serious in implementing minimum health protocols to help stop the spread of COVID-19," Valenzona added.  "Most of the apprehended individuals are foreigners. They were not practicing social distancing," he said.

Before the police swooped down on the five-storey restobar in Barangay Poblacion, Makati around 11:20 p.m., Valenzona said they received a complaint about a loud party going on in the restorbar.

A check made by members of the Makati Police Substation 6 showed customers ignoring physical distancing.

The partygoers were given by the Makati Public Safety Department (PSD) P1, 000 citation tickets for their violation which they have to settle at City Hall on Monday, October 12.

On September 18, five German diplomats and 35 other partygoers were arrested for quarantine violations at a bar, also in Barangay Poblacion.
