71 new COVID-19 cases reported in Davao region

DAVAO CITY - The number of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases in the region increased with 71 new cases recorded on Saturday, October 10, that brought the number of active cases to 641.

Based on the COVID-19 Regional Case Bulletin released by the DOH Davao Center for Health Development, 53 new cases were recorded in Davao City, nine in Davao del Sur, five in Davao Oriental, and four in Davao del Norte.

The region now has a total of 3,535 confirmed cases of COVID-19.

Four deaths were also reported on Saturday. Three of the fatalities were from Davao City, and one from Davao del Sur. The region has recorded a total of 118 deaths.

The two fatalities recorded in Davao on October 9 included a 67-year-old woman from Barangay Centro Agdao, who died last October 8, and an 83-year-old woman from Barangay 21-C, who died last October 7.

Meanwhile, there were 23 recoveries reported on Saturday, including 13 from Davao City, four each from Davao del Norte and Davao Oriental, and one each from Davao Occidental and Davao del Sur. The region has recorded a total of 2,776 recoveries.
