Bloomberry Cultural Foundation, Inc.(BCFI)  and the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) have completed the country's largest COVID-19 quarantine facility, the Solaire-PAGCOR Mega Quarantine Facility.

In a statement, BCFI said the facility has been turned over to the Integrated Agency Task Force (IATF),

headed by Secretaries Carlito Galvez and Vince Dizon.

The facility, funded by BCFI, Solaire Resort and Casino's corporate social responsibility arm, is currently the National Capital Region’s largest quarantine facility. 

Built by Prime BMD of the Razon Group, the facility is capable of comfortably housing 600 patients who are asymptomatic or have mild symptoms.  They will be housed in eight air conditioned tents with 75 beds per tent. 

It is intended mainly for patients who cannot quarantine themselves at home effectively.  Each patient gets his own private and enclosed cubicle with a bed, desk, chair and outlets.

Aside from beds, the facility also has separate toilets and showers for male and female patients.  There are also laundry facilities for hand washing of clothes.  

A separate tent houses a clinic for patients whose symptoms progress.  The clinic is designed to stabilize a patient for transport to a hospital should his symptoms worsen.

The entire area is further divided into clean and hot zones. The clean zones are for staff manning the facility, who also have their own tented quarters, toilets, showers, lockers as well as well as a tented mess hall.  

The grounds on where the facility stand is open air to allow patients to walk outside for fresh air and sunshine, factors that should help in a patient's recovery. Aside from this mega facility, BCFI has also supported the retrofitting of quarantine facilities at the Philippine General Hospital, Rizal Memorial Sports Complex and the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.
