P300,000 worth of shabu seized in Manila


Over P300,000 worth of suspected shabu were seized from four alleged drug personalities in a sting operation in Sta. Cruz, Manila Wednesday night.

Police identified the suspects as Alfredo Serrano, 59; Renjhel Ibañez, 46 - both jobless; Reynaldo Francisco, 52, painter - all residents of Sampaloc, Manila; and Antonio Santos, 34, nail technician, resident of Tondo, Manila.

Elements of the Sta. Cruz Police Station conducted the buy-bust operation along C.M. Recto Avenue in Barangay 313 in Manila at around 9 p.m.

Investigation showed that the suspects were arrested after they sold sachets of suspected shabu worth P500 to a poseur buyer. 

A total of 12 sachets of suspected shabu weighing around 44.15 grams and worth around P300,220 were retrieved from the suspects.

The suspects are now under police custody and will face charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
