Looks like the feud between ONE Championship atomweight champion Angela Lee and No. 1 contender Denice Zamboanga is far from over.

Lee was the most recent to clap back, calling out the Filipina fighter as #Entitled on Twitter Thursday.

“Sorry girl but you didn’t do anything to deserve MY belt. No one took it from me, so why would I give it up? Let’s see you win the Atomweight Grand Prix Belt and then maybe you can start calling some shots,” said Lee, who recently announced her pregnancy with her first child.

The 24-year-old Lee also posted a lengthy Facebook post the same day, directing all points to Zamboanga.

Lee cited her achievements and the tough road she took en route to the atomweight belt, something that she believed Denice hasn’t proved yet.

“Denice, I know you’re an eager, up and coming, contender but I hate to break it to you. You don’t get a free belt, just like that. You gotta EARN it by taking it from the Champ. You have 2 decision wins in ONE. Your only finish was an 0-0 girl making her debut,” said Lee, who seeks for a late 2021 comeback.

The argument began when Lee aired her sentiments towards Zamboanga after ONE CEO Chatri Sityodtong announced the upcoming World Grand Prix in the atomweight division.

The Singaporean fighter from Evolve MMA said Zamboanga should take down more big names in the division before getting a title shot.

The 23-year-old Zamboanga, however, didn’t take the comments well and added that Lee should at least vacate the title.

“Angela is the World Champion, she should do the right thing like all great champions do. She should give respect to other fighters who deserve it and most importantly, should vacate the championship belt since she cannot defend it.

“Most great champions would have done this straight away, as soon as they know they won’t be able to defend their belt for personal reasons,” Zamboanga added.

Zamboanga, who now fights under Marok Force stable, was expected to face Lee late this year or early 2021 but arrangements were affected due to the coronavirus pandemic plus Lee’s pregnancy.

For Lee, the best possible route for Zamboanga is to participate in the Grand Prix.

Although ONE Championship has yet to release more details, Zamboanga took the risk and decided to list her name in the tournament.

Besides, Lee vacating the throne or not will be up to the final decision of ONE Championship and Sityodtong.
