Disgruntled employees of IBC-13 television network may send a letter to President Duterte to request a probe into the alleged corruption in the state firm, Malacañang said Tuesday.

Presidential spokesman Harry Roque said the network employees could elevate their concerns to the President if they are not satisfied with the response from the Presidential Communication Operations Office (PCOO).

The television personnel reportedly held protest action over alleged corruption in the management of the broacast firm as well as alleged failure to provide certain workers’ benefits under a labor deal.

IBC-13 belongs to a group of government media stations supervised Presidential Communications Secretary Martin Andanar. 

"We will defer the matter po sa PCOO dahil ang PCOO po ang nakakasakop sa IBC-13. Kung ang unyon po ay gustong mag-imbestiga ang Office of the President eh lumiham po kayo nang diretso sa Office of the President at makakarating naman po ang liham ninyo sa Presidential Management Staff (We will defer to the PCOO because the PCOO has jurisdiction over IBC-13. If the union wants the Office of the President to investigate, they can write directly to the Office of the President and the letter will reach the Presidential Management Staff)," he said during  a Palace press briefing Tuesday. 

"Kung hindi po kayo satisfied sa naging response ng PCOO, sumulat po kayo sa tanggapan ng Presidente at ipararating ko po iyan kay (Palace) Usec. (Jesus Melchor ) Quitain (If you are not satisfied with the response from the PCOO, you may write to the President's office and I will relay that to Undersecretary Quitain)," he said.

The IBC Employees Union earlier appealed to the President to help end the alleged corruption in the network. The group mentioned a Commission on Audit (COA) report questioning the salary adjustments for the network executives.

The commission reportedly called for a refund of the alleged illegal salary increases and other bonuses given to IBC-13 management officers.
