Job openings increased in four straight weeks at the job searching website created by Vice President Leni Robredo’s office for Filipino workers displaced by the coronavirus pandemic.
The number of available jobs in various areas in the country rose to 17,589 as more partner employers posted their job listings on Sikap.PH.
According to Robredo, the employment opportunities are in 28 sites nationwide, with National Capital Region topping the list.
“Most of the jobs are in NCR, but there are also many available jobs in Cavite, Batangas, Laguna, Bulacan, Iloilo, and Cebu,” she said.
Interested applicants may visit the job matching platform Sikap.PH or send a message to Robredo’s Facebook page for assistance.
For local employment, among the job vacancies are for graphic artist, data encoder, company nurse, warehouse supervisor, accounting staff, web developer, and store manager.
The other available jobs include service delivery associate, HR personnel, accountant, sales engineer, medical technologist, and financial service manager.
“In Lipa alone, we have 2,000 job vacancies. You can check on our site the available jobs,” Robredo said.
The latest Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey showed the country’s adult unemployment rate for September was at 39.5 percent, which is equivalent to about 23.7 unemployed Filipinos in the middle of the pandemic.
