Sotto happy over high performance rating, vows to continue working hard

Senate President Vicente Sotto III on Monday vowed to continue working hard as he garnered high performance ratings in the latest Pulse Asia survey.

Sotto ranked second among the top national officials in terms of public approval and trust as reported by the Pulse Asia in its Ulat ng Bayan Survey for September.

"Thank you! It's nice to know that our people acknowledge my effort as the leader of the Senate. I will continue to remain consistent and commit to work hard even during these uncertain times," Sotto said in a message to reporters.

Following President Duterte who got a 91 percent approval rate, Sotto scored 84 percent, with only six percent of the respondents disapproving of his performance.

Meanwhile, 79 percent said they trust the Senate chief.

Sotto has been receiving high approval and trust ratings in the Pulse Asia polls since he assumed the post in the 17th Congress.
