Bulusan Volcano normal

By Alexandria San Juan  The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) lowered the alert status of Bulusan Volcano in Sorsogon from Alert Level 1 to Alert Level 0 or normal following a general decline in its monitoring parameters. Bulusan has been on Alert Level 1 since May 2019 after state volcanologists observed a slight increase in volcanic earthquakes or steam and gas, sporadic explosions from vents, hotter springs, and swelling in its edifice. Bulusan, which is among the 24 active volcanoes in the country, last erupted in June 2017.
