The Manila city government will be distributing emergency go bags containing first aid equipment to its residents.

In a Facebook post on Wednesday, Manila Mayor Francisco "Isko Moreno" Domagoso said they first distributed bags to the city's public school teachers to equip them once face-to-face classes resume.

Each bag contains sheer bandages, antibiotic ointments, burn creams, an emergency thermal blanket, an emergency thermal sleeping bag, emergency water and food bars, a rope, an emergency solar radio, a hand crank flashlight, among others.
The project was done to ensure the readiness of Manila city residents when disaster strikes, Domagoso said.
The local chief executive said they will be distributing more bags to the city's residents in the coming days.
