6 new COVID-19 cases, 1 fatality, 10 recoveries among Filipinos abroad

The Department of Foreign Affairs on Tuesday reported six new confirmed COVID-19 (coronavirus disease 2019) cases, one fatality and 10 new recoveries among Filipinos in at least two main geographical regions abroad.

All the new cases, new fatality and new recoveries were recorded in Asia and the Pacific and Europe.

The total number of COVID-19 cases involving overseas Filipinos has now reached 10,417 since the outbreak began in February this year.

Of the total, 6,629 have recovered or discharged from various health facilities worldwide, 3,009 are still undergoing treatment and 779 died of COVID-19 infections.

The Middle East remains to be the region with the most number of confirmed COVID-19 cases, recoveries, under treatment, and fatalities among our nationals.

On the other hand, the Americas now have the least numbers in all categories compared to other geographic regions, except in the total number of fatalities, where Asia and the Pacific ranks the lowest.
