'Marce' leaves PAR, headed towards Japan, but LPA spotted over Northern Samar
Tropical storm "Marce" left the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) but a low-pressure area (LPA) was spotted over Northern Samar this morning.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said Marce exited the PAR at 6 a.m. and was 1,400 kilometers east-northeast of extreme Northern Luzon at around 10 a.m. with maximum sustained winds of 75 kilometers per hour (kph) near the center and gustiness of up to 90 kph.
Marce may not affect the general weather condition in the Philippines as it is forecast to move generally north or north-northwest then turn north-northeast towards Japan.
The LPA inside the PAR was spotted over San Jose, Northern Samar before noon today.
The LPA will initially bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Zamboanga Sibugay, Zamboanga del Norte, Zamboanga del Sur, and Visayas but may dissipate within 24 hours.
The rest of the country will still experience warm and humid mornings with possible rain showers and thunderstorms occurring in the afternoon or evening.
Localized thunderstorms, however, tend to trigger flash floods or landslides especially during severe occurrences, therefore, the public should take extra precaution, particularly those in areas that are at high risk to flooding or landslides.
The coastal waters over Luzon and Visayas will be slight to moderate while it will be slight in Mindanao.
PAGASA has not issued a gale warning, thus, fisherfolk and those using small boats are safe to sail.
