The once dark stretch of Parian Creek in Pasig City has been brightened up by solar-powered street lights installed by the local government.
Mayor Vico Sotto on Friday shared on his social media pages the before-and-after photos of the tree-lined walkway along the bank of the Parian creek to show the difference.

New solar street lamps have been lit from Plaza Bonifacio up to Pinagbuhatan),” Sotto said.
Parian Creek is a 3.5 kilometer waterway which starts at Plaza Bonifacio in Barangay Kapasigan and ends in Ilugin River in Barangay Pinagbuhatan.
The mayor said the street lighting project of the local government under the city’s engineering department is ongoing.
Our goal is to brighten up the most crowded places in the city before Christmas),” Sotto said.
